Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Software Engineer - Java or Principal Software Engineer - Java to join our on-site team in San Diego, CA or Oklahoma City, OK.

The role requires a self-starter, experience in an Integrated Product Team, and a ability to work closely with systems and testing engineers in a fast-paced lab environment. Travel up to 25% may be required and Top Secret clearance is a prerequisite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 2+ years of related engineering experience for Level 2 or 5+ years for Level 3; Master’s degree can offset experience.
• Direct experience developing Java applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Top Secret clearance and SAP/PAR before employment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of developers and integrators on software products as part of an IFC.
• Participate in design, implementation, and delivery of build/test/release.
• Develop enterprise Java EE solutions in a SOA environment.
• Collaborate with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.
• Work in a process-oriented software development lifecycle.
