Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Java to join our Software organization in San Diego, CA. This on-site role requires a Top Secret clearance and offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The candidate will develop enterprise Java EE solutions in a SOA setting, participate in all SDLC phases, and work closely with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application teams, and DevSecOps. Travel up to 25% may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5 years of related engineering experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
- Experience with agile development, including Product Owner/SCRUM Master roles.
- Experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with agile software development, OO architecture, programming, integration and testing.
- Experience and proficiency in Java, Java microservices, GUI applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in an Agile team with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps.
- Participate in the software development cycle including design, build, test, and release.
- Develop enterprise Java EE solutions in a SOA environment.
- Work across the software lifecycle in a process-oriented environment.
- Collaborate with team members regularly.
