Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. The role focuses on RMF A&A artifacts, continuous monitoring, and system testing for DoD combat systems.

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Candidates should have DoD cybersecurity policy experience, and knowledge of STIGs, ACAS, and vulnerability assessment practices. This position is funded for December 2026.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems or five (5) years general security engineering experience.
• Two (2) of the five (5) years of engineering experience on Combat Weapons Systems such as Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt, or other Navy afloat tactical systems.
• Certified as IAT Level II or Level III per DoD 8570.01, or successor for ISSO/ISSE duties.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document cyber system from a DoD perspective using MS Word, Excel and Visio.
• Apply DISA STIGs and DoD guidance to systems.
• Lead ISSO for security matters related to information systems.
• Plan, execute and document vulnerability tests and risk assessments.
