Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Systems Security Engineer I to contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure operating systems, networks, and applications at our Lone Tree, CO location. The role supports incident response, digital forensics, and vulnerability assessments within our C4ISR-oriented IAS business area.

Required are a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0–2 years of IT security experience, with a Top Secret clearance ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of secure IT systems and networks.
• Perform security monitoring and tuning to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Participate in incident response, digital forensics, and loss prevention activities.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security controls and protocols.
• Research and recommend new security tools and technologies.
• Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
• Assist with the development of security policies and procedures.
