Sierra Nevada Corporation in Beavercreek, OH is seeking a Systems Security Engineer III to design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems, lead incident response, and perform digital forensics in a defense-focused environment.

This role requires a BS in a related field, 5+ years in IT security, active Secret clearance, and experience with NIST/ISO 27001; on-site or hybrid work with occasional travel; salary range around $108k-$149k plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in IT security or a related field.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001.
• Current/Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• CI/CD Optimization & Process Automation: Collaborate with engineering teams to define and execute an automation roadmap, enhance CI/CD pipeline integration, and streamline build, patch, and release processes.
• Software Configuration Management & CCB Governance: Direct the Software Configuration Management (SCM) lifecycle—including facilitating the Configuration Control Board (CCB), managing baseline changes, and controlling the release of baseline CSCIs, build artifacts, and supporting documentation (e.g., A&A RMF packages, KBAs, installation scripts).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management and developers to refine requirements, establish acceptance criteria, coordinate UAT, and drive quality early in the SDLC.
