Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, CA seeks a Mechanical Technician – Level 4 to support space vehicle mechanical assemblies and systems. The role requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance and offers a robust benefits package with a 9/80 work schedule option.

You will devise, fabricate, and assemble components, assist with prototype tests, and ensure high-precision workmanship while supporting mission-critical space systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
• Willing to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as required
• Demonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly, harnessing with a high attention to detail
• Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, assembly and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical components and sub-systems.
• Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
• Assist with setting up and tests complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.
• Follow test methodologies for sub-system and system tests.
