Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is hiring a Mechanical Technician at Level 2 or Level 3 in Redondo Beach, CA. The role supports mechanical assembly, harnessing and integration of space vehicle components, with requirements for active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience or 4 years for Level 3
Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance at time of application
Willing to work any shift and cover extended weeks as required
Technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and mechanical assembly with attention to detail
Hands-on experience with a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment

Responsibilities

Assist mechanical engineers in development, assembly and integration of Space Vehicle components
Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical parts and sub-assemblies
Set up and test prototype and flight units under operational conditions
Support test methodologies for sub-systems and systems
Contribute to documentation and data requirements for work orders
