Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Technician – Level 3 for our Space Sector in Redondo Beach, CA. The role is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

You will handle delicate flight hardware, assemble space flight components, and perform bonding operations per drawings and procedures. The candidate must have a high school diploma with 4+ years of related experience and the ability to obtain SCI access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
• Experience with mechanical assembly using drawings or written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Handle delicate flight hardware with proper ESD and contamination control.
• Perform mechanical assembly using space flight drawings and process docs.
• Conduct space flight bonding with adhesives for thermal, electrical, and mechanical connections.
• Utilize calibrated tools and shelf-life materials for assembly operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
