Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through Regions’ branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate credit, and maintain client relationships while ensuring compliance with lending guidelines.

A strong focus on referrals and cross-selling bank products is essential. The role offers an incentive-based commission plan and requires NMLS registration, with a compensation history highlighting performance-based earnings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Experience developing external business via referrals (realtors, builders, planners).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior Mortgage Loan Officer experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and checks collateral and credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates progress.
• Structures loans to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Develops and executes a detailed marketing plan and maintains client relationships.
• Responds to customer inquiries about loan products and qualification information.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing customers.
• Cross-sells bank products and services.
• Reviews surveys and appraisals and addresses any issues.
