Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate credit, and maintain customer contact to ensure timely processing.

Responsibilities include developing external business via realtors and builders, meeting sales goals, cross-selling products, and adhering to lending guidelines. This full-time role includes commission incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• External business development via referral partners (realtors, builders, planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines collateral/credit qualification.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates loan progress.
• Structures loans to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes a detailed marketing plan with potential and existing customers and partners.
• Answers calls from customers and walk-ins to discuss loan products and qualification info.
• Makes sales calls to develop or retain business per Regions plan.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses encroachments/violations.
