Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Customer Service Associate to welcome customers, help them find products, and ensure their needs are met across multiple departments. The role involves assisting with locating merchandise, stocking, processing orders, and sometimes handling loads of up to 75 pounds with proper safety practices.

Eligibility includes basic computer and retail tech experience, reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, and the ability to stay on your feet for long periods.

Qualifications

• 6 months computer experience including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience with common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand, sit, and perform duties as required.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation.
• 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bi-lingual skills.
• Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe’s and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
