Job summary

MGS Manufacturing invites applications for an experienced Toolmaker to join the MGS US Tooling team in Wisconsin. You will support tooling operations for injection mold tooling, read drawings, modify tooling, and ensure tools meet quality standards.

Key duties include setting up toolroom machines, coordinating with machining areas, repairing tooling, and assisting in first samples. Experience with mold tooling and strong organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Two- to four-year related education or equivalent experience.
• Injection mold tooling/Toolmaking experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
• General knowledge of best machining practices.
• Self-motivated team player.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and use measuring devices to produce or modify tooling.
• Repair or replace tooling to maintain inventory.
• Set up and operate toolroom machines and hand tools.
• Coordinate with specialty machining areas for operations.
• Understand and apply quality standards and inspection methods.
• Provide input to Design/Program Management during preliminary reviews.
• Assemble final tool per drawings and customer expectations.
• Assist in first sample and ready tool for production.
• Possibly train apprentices and aid their progression.
• Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of tools and hot systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
