Job summary

HellermannTyton in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a skilled Toolmaker/Moldmaker to work with the lead mold maker to build new tooling per CAD or prints, and to evaluate, maintain, and repair molds. You will train mold maintenance technicians and apprentices, operate all tool room equipment, and perform mold maintenance and in-press changes, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plastic injection molding building experience or completion of an apprenticeship
• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification/degree preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledgeable in current mold-building techniques; solid manufacturing concepts in plastic injection mold building
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering designs and CAD plans and models
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Must have own precision tools
• Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Build new tooling per CAD or detailed prints with minimal supervision
• Identify and communicate tooling problems to lead mold maker or supervisor
• Train mold maintenance technicians and apprentices
• Operate all tool room equipment
• Perform mold maintenance and in-press mold changes
• Willing to work overtime based on production needs
