Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Toolmaker II with 5–7 years of machining experience to set up and operate multiple machine tools for precision parts. The role involves fabricating fixtures, programming machinery, and collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams.

Ability to read blueprints, apply GD&T, and work in 2D/3D environments is essential. Strong precision measuring skills and commitment to safety are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or AS in Machine Tool; 5–7 years machining experience.
• Experience with milling, turning, grinding, and machine programming; CAD/CAM.
• Knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T; reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a range of machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Fabricate complex jigs and fixtures; assist with tooling modifications.
• Work in 2D and 3D environments with tight tolerances (+/-.0005).
• Provide guidance to less senior Toolmakers; communicate issues to supervision.
