Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Tool Room Machinist II to perform set-ups and run programs on mills, lathes, and grinders. The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Planners, and Quality teams to ensure parts meet specifications.

The position emphasizes on-site work, adherence to ISO and safety procedures, and the ability to work either independently or as part of a team. Proficiency with measuring tools and blueprints is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of work experience with mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Ability to read and understand a program and its function.
• Able to read basic blueprints and use measuring equipment.
• Able to maintain tolerances of +/- .001.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and run programs that were previously processed.
• With guidance, calculate feeds, speeds, and tool selection.
• Report problems or quality concerns to supervisor or senior machinist.
• Change tooling on specified machine as needed.
• Transact parts accordingly.
• Participate in and sustain 5S standards and workplace organization.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area per ISO procedures.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required.
• May work in other areas or facilities as needed.
• Overtime or alternate shifts may be required based on business needs.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
