100Hires, Inc. seeks a Precision Injection Molding Toolroom Technician to build, restore, and elevate molds. You’ll work on the floor with Process Technicians and Operators, owning problems and delivering practical solutions to keep molds running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

10+ years of tooling experience in plastic injection molding.
Hands-on in-press troubleshooting with calm, decisive judgment.
5+ years CNC milling programming and setup; 5+ years of G-code & CAD/CAM.
Proficient reading mold prints and understanding mold construction.
Experience with EDM, hot runners, and precision handwork when needed.
Able to operate an overhead crane and use common shop measuring tools.

Responsibilities

Restore part quality quickly by troubleshooting flash, shorts, and cosmetic defects in the press.
Execute tear-downs, repairs, and preventive maintenance per plan.
Service components: pins, bushings, lifters, slides, and ejectors.
Diagnose hot runners (heaters, thermocouples, wiring) across multiple platforms.
Optimize cooling circuits, vents, and parting lines to improve cycle time.
Support trials, startups, and process changes; document findings and recommendations.
Capture PM/repair activities with clear documentation; 60–80% hands-on work.
