Job summary

Valeo Smyrna, TN is seeking an Automation Technician on 2nd shift to troubleshoot and optimize injection molding processes. You will operate molding equipment, cranes, and robot systems, ensuring quality standards and continuous improvements in cycle time and scrap reduction.

You should have 2+ years' mold experience, defect analysis skills, and familiarity with Engel and Sepro robotics; a high school diploma is required. This is a full-time role on 2nd shift with OT as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years with new mold set-up and plastic injection molding machines.
• 2+ years identifying injection defects after manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot injection molding process issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain injection molding equipment and overhead crane.
• Maintain injection process standards and collaborate to reduce cycle time and scrap.
• Start Engel and Sepro robots and handle machine automation issues as needed.
