Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Tooling Technician to support our second shift in Seymour, Indiana. You will perform injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance, work independently as the internal tooling department, and ensure tooling conforms to current mold prints and 3D data.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience with plastic injection molding, especially in cosmetic automotive parts. Overtime as needed; full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding.
• Experience with plastic injection mold tooling that produces cosmetic automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Work independently as the internal tooling department for molding.
• Repair/make parts to conform to latest mold prints/3D data.
• Perform basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, and bench work.
• Maintain records and logs; report and order low stock inventories.
• ACCOMPLISH other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

• You will do injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance
• You will work independently as the internal tooling department for molding
• You will repair and/or make any parts to conform to latest mold prints/ 3D data
• You will perform other work such as basic heat treating, MIG/ TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, miscellaneous bench work
• You will maintain all records and logs as required. Report and order any low stock inventories
• You will accomplish other duties as assigned

What You Should Have

• You have a high school diploma / GED
• You have 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding
• You have experience as with plastic injection mold tooling that produces cosmetic automotive parts
