Job summary

Valeo North America in Seymour, Tennessee is seeking a Tooling Technician on 2nd shift (3 PM – 11 PM) to join the maintenance team. You will repair and maintain plastic injection mold tooling and work independently as the internal tooling department, ensuring parts conform to latest mold prints and 3D data.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience in plastic injection molding tooling for cosmetic automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plastic injection mold tooling.
• Perform basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, and precision hand fitting.
• Repair parts to conform to latest mold prints/3D data.
• Maintain records and logs; report low stock inventories.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

You will do injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance. You will work independently as the internal tooling department for molding. You will repair and/or make any parts to conform to latest mold prints/ 3D data. You will perform other work such as basic heat treating, MIG/ TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, miscellaneous bench work. You will maintain all records and logs as required. Report and order any low stock inventories. You will accomplish other duties as assigned.

What You Should Have

You have a high school diploma / GED. You have 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding. You have experience as with plastic injection mold tooling that produces cosmetic automotive parts.
