Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Tooling Technician to join the Tooling organization on the third shift (Sun–Thu, 10PM–6:30AM, OT as needed). The role focuses on injection mold tooling repairs, preventive maintenance, and alignment with the latest mold prints (2D/3D data).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years' experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding.
• Experience with plastic injection mold tooling producing cosmetic automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plastic injection molding tooling.
• Work independently in the internal tooling department for molding.
• Repair or make parts to conform to latest mold prints 2D/3D data.
• Perform basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, bench work.
• Maintain records and logs as required.
• Report and order low stock inventories.
• Accomplish other duties as assigned.

Role and Responsibilities

• You will do injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance (PM).
• You will work independently as the internal tooling department for molding.
• You will repair and/or make any parts to conform to latest mold prints 2D/ 3D data.
• You will perform other work such as basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, silver solder, precision hand fitting, miscellaneous bench work.
• You will maintain all records and logs as required.
• Report and order any low stock inventories.
• You will accomplish other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• You have a high school diploma / GED.
• You have 4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding.
• You have experience as with plastic injection mold tooling that produces cosmetic automotive parts.
