Job summary

Staffmark Group in Riverside, CA is hiring a Tooling Shop Assistant. The position pays $19.25 per hour on 1st shift (6 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday) and involves running machines, assembling parts, and packing goods shipped worldwide.

You will maintain the tool room, pull tools for production orders, and operate forklifts and various hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. Training is provided; a high school diploma is preferred but not required, and 2+ years in tooling or related manufacturing is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• No prior experience or post‑secondary education required; training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills required for inventory tracking and workplace documentation.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• 2+ years of experience in tool and die, tooling, manufacturing, plastics molding, maintenance, or machine shop environments.
• Experience operating forklifts is required.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
• Experience with machining, polishing, fitting, repair, or maintenance work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, organize, and maintain tools, molds, dies, gauges, fixtures, and consumable materials within the tool room.
• Pull tools and supplies for production orders while assisting with inventory control and tool tracking activities.
• Assist with cleaning, repairing, assembling, altering, machining, drilling, polishing, fitting, spotting, and benching molds, dies, and tooling components.
• Operate forklifts and safely use hand, electric, and pneumatic tools to support tool room and manufacturing operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
