Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to set up and operate machine tools, assemble components, and ensure quality in a stamping environment. Candidates should have a strong foundation in math, computer skills, and technical drawing interpretation. A Journeyman Card in Tool and Die is required, alongside 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits including medical insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive tooling experience, preferably in a stamping environment.
• Successful completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship program or significant experience as a tool and die maker.

Base pay range

$73,000.00/yr - $81,500.00/yr

1st Shift: 6am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday, 6am-10am Friday

Pay: $35-39/hour based on experience

• Set-up and operate machine tools to manufacture components
• Assemble components into tooling
• Demonstrates safe work habits
• Maintain a clean and organize work area using 5S principles
• Responsible for managing assigned tooling projects to meet quality and delivery expectations of the customer
• Responsible for assembling tooling, ensuring machined components are to specifications and processes used will meet scheduling completion date
• Responsible for actively participating in Pre-Build meetings to determine most efficient manufacturing processes
• Responsible for machining components using standard processes to required tolerances and completion dates

• Minimum level of education/training required: This position requires the successful completion of 4 years of high school, or equivalency, as well as successful completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship program, or six or more years served as a nonindentured tool and die maker working on stamping dies.
• Minimum experience required: This position requires 3 to 5 years of progressive tooling preferably in a stamping environment.
• Advanced math skills, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings and ability to communicate are required.
• License or certificate required: Journeyman Card in Tool and Die.
