Precinmac is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant for our Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin, OR. This on-site role supports standardizing tooling setups and reducing downtime by ensuring tooling is ready for jobs.

The position emphasizes maintaining tool indices, organizing fixturing, and collaborating with machinists and supervisors. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, with preferred training in Machine Tool Technology or related fields.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; machine tool tech preferred.
• MS Windows experience and data collection/ERP system proficiency required.
• Machine tooling knowledge for setup and fixturing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up tooling into holders per setup sheet; gather fixtures and jaws.
• Keep staging area organized; prioritize jobs to reduce machinist downtime.
• Monitor tooling inventory; submit purchase requests when levels are low.
• Obtain feedback from machinists and update setup information as needed.
• Assist in creating work instructions as directed by production manager.
• Suggest and implement efficiency improvements with supervisor approval.
• Ensure accuracy and quality before routing to next step.
• Adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic and dependability.
• Apply problem-solving to identify and resolve issues.
