Job summary

Geater Machining and Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to issue and preset tools, inspect equipment, and maintain records to support productivity and cost efficiency. You will order tooling and work with vendors to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

The role requires reading blueprints, strong organizational skills, and English fluency. Expect a manufacturing environment with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of machining and cutting tools.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and safety rules.
• Calculate figures and formulas pertaining to the work area.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials and equipment.
• Allocate and determine specific jobs for each work center and select and preset tools.
• Maintain records of tools issued and returned.
• Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
• Inspect and measure tools for defects and wear.
• Initiate purchase orders for replacement items.
• Use GOLD for accurate work instructions and coordinate with vendors.
