Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a site Tooling Engineering Manager to lead a team of tooling engineers across programs in Iuka, MS, ensuring processes, costs, and schedules meet targets while maintaining EVMS compliance.

Requires STEM degree with 5 years tooling/ manufacturing experience or Master’s with 3 years, plus 2+ years leading teams and an active Secret clearance with SAP eligibility; relocation assistance and a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) with 5 years of tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into production OR a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
• Two years of proven experience leading teams OR projects.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation within last 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide to ensure objectives related to technical, quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
• Interface with customers; provide status and forecast of tooling cost and delivery.
• Identify staffing/skill requirements, forecasts, and training plans.
• Develop and maintain departmental procedures for tooling life-cycle from proposal to implementation.
• Perform CAM responsibilities to ensure EVMS compliance for program budgets.
• Develop long-range plans for affordable tooling products and services.
• Collaborate with other sector tooling management to deploy best practices.
• Establish metrics to ensure team performance meets requirements.
• Ensure tooling deliverables meet process specifications.
