Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA, seeks a Manager General Manufacturing 1 to lead the GSE/Tooling team responsible for maintenance and repair of Ground Support Equipment. You will guide non-exempt staff, ensure adherence to PrOP/T.O. standards, and drive training and career development.

The role offers a 4/10 shift schedule and opportunities to impact multiple projects. A DoD Secret clearance is required for start and you must have strong leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma / G.E.D. and 5 years of related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• 1 year of prior management/leadership experience.
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift.
• Experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of non-exempt employees in maintenance/repair of Ground Support Equipment.
• Provide direction and mentorship to GSE mechanics, machine shop and tooling staff.
• Ensure training and prepare daily work orders for equipment upkeep.
• Drive career development and process-improvement initiatives.
