JOB SUMMARY: The Tooling Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing a vast die library and assisting maintenance with various repair projects involving machining.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

1. Assess problems or maintenance needs on tools.
2. Repair worn or broken tools and dies as required.
3. Maintain the existing die library in good condition.
4. Operate a variety of metalworking machines.
5. Collaborate with other departments on tooling issues, quality improvements, and projects.
6. Keep the work area clean at all times.
7. Follow department operating procedures to meet quality standards.
8. Assist the maintenance department with machining tasks.
9. Organize and maintain departmental equipment and supplies.
10. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journeyman’s card in tool and die building is a plus.
• Ability to operate various machine shop equipment.
• Ability to read and work from mechanical prints.
• Good math and computer skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with in-house operating software.

SHIFT/SITE: Monday-Friday, 2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, at 111 Business Park Drive, Utica, NY.

WAGE DISCLOSURE: The salary range is $16.50 - $18.50 per hour ($34,320 - $38,480 annually), depending on experience, knowledge, skills, and education. This range is part of a total rewards package including health, dental, vision insurance, PTO, retirement plans, paid holidays, overtime, and more.
