Responsibilities

Summary:

Do you love helping customers with general home maintenance and repairs but want to reduce physical demands and travel time? Do you have excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills? Are you excited to work from home, using technology to assist customers in starting their service process and exploring options from DIY to professional service?

Frontdoor is seeking a General Technician to perform remote diagnosis and triage. Using Streem technology, you will engage with customers via live audio and video to assess their home systems. Your role is to empower customers to understand repairs they can safely perform themselves and identify cost-effective options if they cannot.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with repair and installation services, including pools and spas, garage doors, drywall, sprinkler systems, decking, fencing, painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Conduct remote diagnostic and triage appointments using Streem technology.
• Provide technical support and guidance through multi-channel interactions.
• Walk customers through simple repair steps and explain options.
• Document all interactions, including system details, actions taken, and next steps.
• Maintain knowledge of current trade standards, codes, and DIY safety procedures.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and provide feedback.
• Grow sales volume by acquiring new accounts, building relationships, and recommending products.
• Develop product knowledge for effective service delivery.
• Respond to sales inquiries and develop business relationships.
• Analyze market data to identify opportunities and develop strategies.
• Achieve sales objectives and KPIs.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for best practices and cost efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Licensure, and Certification:

• High School diploma or GED required; NASTeC certification preferred.
• 5+ years of general home maintenance and repair experience.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Zoom, Teams, Outlook, Excel).

Additional Information

This role pays between $36 to $42/hr, depending on skills, experience, and location. Certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards and incentives.
