Saab West Lafayette is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift to support tooling and manufacturing technology in the rear section assembly for the T-7A Redhawk program. You will ensure proper tooling, drive improvements, manage inventory, and act as a bridge between tooling and production teams.

The role emphasizes tooling studies, performance testing, and compliance with aerospace standards, with a starting pay of up to $29.00 per hour, plus shift premium.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years of comparable work experience.
• 2+ years of technical/assembly in aircraft manufacturing preferred.
• Tooling selection and application experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain proper tools in each assembly area.
• Provide support for tooling studies and application.
• Conduct tooling performance testing and provide analysis reports.
• Investigate and resolve tooling issues.
• Propose new tooling solutions and contribute to tooling projects.
• Assist assemblers with proper and safe use of tools.
• Ensure tooling compliance to aerospace standards.
