Lydech Thermal Acoustic Solutions (TAS) is seeking a hands-on Engineer to provide technical direction to tooling teams, guide new tool designs, support operations, resolve manufacturing issues, reduce scrap, and drive continuous improvement in our metal stamping environment.

You will lead tool design reviews, manage capital equipment justifications, support APQP/DFMEA/PPAP activities, and mentor staff while adhering to safety policies.

Qualificações

• 4 year technical degree (Tool and Die) or equivalent experience as a journeyman tool and die maker.
• 3-5 years minimum experience in metal stamping.
• Hands on role in troubleshooting die tooling.
• Ability to critique die design concepts for production worthiness and maintainability.
• Experience with high tonnage metal stamping presses (mechanical and hydraulic).
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments requiring multi-tasking and prioritization.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software.

Responsabilidades

• Continuous improvement driver to improve profitability and efficiencies of value streams through process improvements and Lean/Six Sigma methods.
• Participate in tool design reviews with project engineers and support product launches for smooth transitions to manufacturing.
• Manage equipment purchases including capital expense justifications and equipment standardization.
• Support project engineering in developing new tool designs and manage new equipment process development, timing, budget, setup, debug and training.
• Support APQP, DFMEA, PPAP activities as required.
• Prioritize tooling improvement and repairs.
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma programs driving continuous improvement.
