Job summary

Lydech Thermal Acoustical Inc. is seeking a hands-on Engineer to provide technical direction to tooling engineers and tool/die repair staff, guiding new tool designs and supporting Operations to resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous process improvements.

You will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, participate in tool design reviews, manage capital equipment justifications, and help ensure smooth transitions from design to manufacturing with a focus on maintenance, scrap reduction

Qualifications

• 4 year technical degree (Tool and Die) or equivalent experience as a journeyman tool and die maker.
• Experience in metal stamping and automotive manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot die tooling and critique die designs for production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to tooling engineers and die repair staff.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce scrap and downtime.
• Participate in tool design reviews and support product launches from design to manufacturing.
• Justify capital equipment purchases and standardize manufacturing equipment.
• Support APQP, DFMEA, PPAP activities as required.
