Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Communications Manager on the Tooling Customer Success team to shape internal communications for key tools such as Jira, Aha, and TeamPlan.

You will develop clear messaging, drive tool adoption, and enable effective user training across the organization. The role partners with tool owners, product teams, and executives to align communications with business goals, manages newsletters and training content, supports change management, and optimizes delivery channels

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in corporate communications to include partnering with executives and technical leaders to develop executive messaging and presentations, organizational announcements, newsletters, and change communications.
• Experience in video production, graphic design, motion graphics, digital signage, instructional content, executive presentations, and multimedia campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Strategize & Execute: Develop and implement compelling communication strategies for internal tools (Jira, Aha, TeamPlan) to significantly boost awareness, adoption, and effective utilization across the enterprise.
• Educate & Empower: Produce comprehensive and engaging training materials, including dynamic videos, intuitive step-by-step guides, and practical FAQs, to empower users through effective education and seamless onboarding experiences.
• Inform & Engage: Create and distribute regular, insightful tooling newsletters and announcements, ensuring stakeholders are consistently informed about critical updates, best practices, and new feature releases.
• Collaborate & Align: Partner closely with tool owners, product teams, and key stakeholders to gather essential content and ensure all messaging is strategically aligned with overarching business objectives and user needs.
• Optimize Reach: Proactively manage and optimize various communication channels and platforms to maximize the reach and engagement of internal tooling communications.
• Measure & Refine: Continuously monitor user feedback and analyze usage metrics to iteratively improve communication effectiveness and enhance the relevance and quality of training content.
• Drive Change: Champion and support change management initiatives associated with tooling enhancements and new deployments, ensuring smooth transitions and user acceptance.
• Ensure Consistency: Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams to guarantee consistent, timely, and impactful communication delivery across the organization.
