Job summary

Magna Exteriors seeks an apprentice to learn and perform repairs, maintenance and engineering changes on production molds. You will service tooling, read drawings, and operate machines while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key duties include maintaining molds, rebuilding hydraulic systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This fixed-term role requires basic machining knowledge and good communication skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• One year manufacturing experience required.
• Must be able to operate overhead crane to move and set-up tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent math skills and basic understanding of SPC principles.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintenance and engineering changes on production molds under supervision.
• Service and maintain tooling and molds; clean, service and load/unload molds.
• Rebuilds hot runner systems; service hydraulic cylinders and troubleshoot hydraulics.
• Operate machines like lathes, mills, drills, grinders.
• Read drawings and prints.
• Maintain attendance, safety and housekeeping; participate in meetings.
