Job summary

Flex-N-Gate, a leading automotive supplier, seeks skilled personnel for extensive mold repair and maintenance, including disassembly/assembly of injection molds. You will support production, plan layouts, and use blueprints to select materials and tooling.

Ideal candidates have a Journeyman card or 8 years' experience, with strong troubleshooting, basic machining skills, and the ability to work across shifts in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman card or 8 years' experience preferred.
• Extensive mold repair and maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, models and descriptions to determine materials and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive mold repair and maintenance, including full disassembly and assembly of injection molds.
• Provide production support and assist with shop assignments.
• Conduct basic machining on lathes, mills and grinders as required.
• Study specifications and use drawings/models to determine materials and tooling.
• Compute dimensions and plan layout, assembly methods and sequence of operations.
• Measure and scribe metal stock for machining.
• Understand lifting and rigging techniques for dies and parts with overhead cranes.
• Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances to ensure quality.
• Heat treat metal tools or parts.
