Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a skilled Mold/Maintenance Technician to join the tooling team in a hands-on role. You will perform mold modifications, repairs, and engineering changes while maintaining accurate records in the PMC system.

You’ll troubleshoot mold-related issues and ensure tooling meets specifications, reading drawings and fabricating tooling as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with related experience or an apprenticeship, good problem-solving, and teamwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of related experience or apprenticeship completed.
• Ability to use required hand tools and interpret tooling designs/specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold modifications, engineering changes, and repairs within established timeframes.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed using the PMC system and work order procedures.
• Support the Molding Department by troubleshooting mold-related operational issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and ensure tools/equipment are available before starting work.
• Understand mold specifications and verify tooling meets required specs.
• Read and interpret tool designs/engineering drawings.
• Fabricate tooling and related equipment as needed.
• Apply mold spotting, parting line repair, and hand-working skills.
