Qualifications

• Proficiency operating machinery such as a press and handling changesovers and mold staging.
• Solid understanding of tool and die, mold making, and tooling repair.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair tool malfunctions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized tool room.
• Good communication to collaborate with team and report on tool room activities.
• Ability to adhere to safety regulations and company policies; willingness to learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of tools, dies, and molds to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in tools and equipment; leverage tooling repair expertise.
• Handle changeovers and staging of molds; ensure readiness for production.
• Operate press and other machinery while following safety standards.
• Assist in developing and constructing new tools and molds as a mold maker.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify improvements in tool design and production processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized tool room; store tools properly.
• Document tool room activities, including maintenance and repair work.
