Job summary

Rivian is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician at our Normal, IL facility. You will maintain tooling and production equipment, troubleshoot tooling and stamping issues, perform mold and die repairs, and fabricate components.

The role requires welding, CNC/Machining, blueprint literacy, and the ability to work 8-12 hour shifts across days or nights. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in mold/die repair or mold making, plus training in Tool & Die or equivalent experience, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Completion of Tool & Die or Mold making training program or relevant work experience.
• Understanding of Thermoplastic Injection Molding and/or Progressive Stamping process.
• Experience reading blue prints and working with Class-A auto parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Tooling and Production equipment.
• Troubleshoot Tooling, Stamping Processes, and Processing issues.
• Perform Mold and Die repairs, including welding and hand finishing.
• Fabricate replacement components for Tooling and Production Equipment.
• Operate mobile equipment (Crane, Fork Truck, Tugger).
• Carry out basic administrative duties including data entry and parts orders.
• Work shifts and adapt to production needs.
