Job summary

FabLogix, part of Kelso Industries, seeks a Tool Room Clerk in Duncan, SC to issue, receive, track, and store tools and materials for fabrication teams. Under the Receiving Manager, you keep the tool room organized and stocked to support the shop floor.

You will work with welders, fitters, maintenance techs, and supervisors, ensuring accurate inventory records and that tools are accounted for daily. The role is full-time, hourly (non-exempt).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in tool room, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling role.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and consumables in fabrication or welding shop.
• Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, labels, and tool/material tags.
• Accurate counting and basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory entries.
• Ability to operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Issue and receive tools, equipment, and consumables at the tool room window and record check-outs and check-ins.
• Inspect returned tools; tag damaged items and report to Receiving Manager.
• Restock consumables like welding wire, discs, gloves, PPE, and fasteners.
• Maintain shelves, bins, racks, and cabinets with 5S organization principles.
• Follow up on overdue or unreturned tools.
