Job summary

FabLogix in Duncan, SC is seeking a Tool Room Clerk to issue, receive, track, and store tools and materials for fabrication and manufacturing teams. You will work under the Receiving Manager, keeping the tool room organized and stocked to ensure the shop floor has what it needs daily.

You will interact with welders, fitters, maintenance techs, and supervisors, helping maintain accurate inventory records and tool accountability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in tool room, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling role.
• Reading packing slips, purchase orders, labels, and tool/material tags.
• Accurate counting and basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory entry.
• Ability to safely operate or work around forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Issue and receive tools, equipment, and consumables at the tool room window; record check-out/check-in by employee, project, or work order.
• Inspect tools on return; tag out damaged items and report to Receiving Manager.
• Restock welding consumables and PPE to set levels.
• Keep shelves, bins, racks, and cabinets clean and organized using 5S practices.
• Follow up on overdue or not returned tools.
