Job summary

Smith Industries, LLC is seeking a dependable Tool Room Attendant to help keep tools and equipment accurately tracked, maintained, and ready for use. You will issue and receive tools, maintain inventory, inspect equipment, and keep the tool room safe and organized.

Key responsibilities include tracking check-outs, performing inventory audits, coordinating replenishment, inspecting tools for wear, and ensuring proper calibration and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn and follow API quality standards and company policies.
• Strong attention to detail and dependability for accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Issue tools and equipment to employees and contractors and assist in selecting tools.
• Track tool check-outs and returns using logs or databases and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies with routine audits.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering or replenishment of tools and supplies.
• Inspect tools before and after use for damage, wear, or defects.
• Perform basic tool maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Ensure tools are calibrated and meet safety and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized tool room with proper labeling and storage.
