Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Tool Room Assistant to support and document the corporate tool room overflow, receive completed tool room work, and deliver it to internal customers. The role also assists with incoming tool room work requests.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in inventory tracking, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage records and purchase requisitions. Valid driver’s license required; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with inventory tracking systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage records.
• Self-motivated with ability to work overtime when needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Document Tool Room measurements tracking on spreadsheets.
• Order custom components from outside machine shops.
• Create and resolve purchase requisitions for tool room orders.
• Answer questions about 3D CAD drawings from supply base.
• Track orders and coordinate with the project management team.
• Deliver completed work to internal customers.
• Develop working relationships with suppliers.
• Work with suppliers for quantity discounts and bulk purchases.
• Research pricing and availability of components for Engineers and other personnel.
• Organize and keep track of standard tooling components with tool crib.
• Other duties as assigned.
