Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to move material into and out of the warehouse using forklift and related equipment. You will perform receiving, shipping, put-aways, and transactions in the Gentex inventory system.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning cycle counts, physical inventories, and daily warehouse operations. A High School Diploma and 1+ years in material handling are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of manufacturing or material handling experience.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate material handling equipment.
• Basic arithmetic and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for shift.

Responsibilities

• Pick and deliver material to manufacturing using the Gentex system.
• Perform receiving and shipping functions with the Gentex system.
• Handle inventory receipts, issues, put-aways, and shipments via the Gentex system.
• Operate material handling equipment to load/unload trucks.
• Maintain area housekeeping and safety.
• Assist team members and production as needed.
• Conduct periodic cycle counts and reconcile variances.
• Perform physical inventories as scheduled.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, safety and shipping performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
