Job summary

Ancora Education in Augusta, GA is seeking a Tool Room Assistant for a full-time, hourly position. You will manage tool room security, check in/out tools for students and faculty, and maintain accurate inventory while keeping equipment in good working order.

Responsibilities include inspecting tools, reporting discrepancies, assisting with requisitions, shipping/receiving, and ensuring loss prevention. Ideal candidates have a diploma in a related trade, basic computer skills, and experience with

Qualifications

Diploma in a related trades field from an accredited institution.
Working knowledge of tools.
Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform the duties, including heavy lifting.
Basic computer skills.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Issues and receives all tools/consumables to students and faculty.
Verify all tools are accounted for before and after each shift.
Notify instructors and the supervisor of discrepancies in the check-in/out process.
Maintain all tools in working order, repairing and servicing broken/worn tools when appropriate, and removing & replacing nonfunctional tools/equipment.
Assist with requisitioning and acquiring new tools and equipment.
Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
Keep the tool room clean and well-organized at all times.
Responsible for shipping and receiving of inventory, equipment, and consumables.
Maintain effective loss prevention systems, ensuring the security of all assigned company assets.
