Job summary

Aerotek in Peru, IL is seeking a Tool Room Assistant to inspect incoming tooling, prepare tools for production, and maintain accurate documentation. You will support production by ensuring timely availability of tools, labeling, staging, and coordinating material movement while following established tool room procedures.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, tooling knowledge, and data entry in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking and documenting tooling and material information.
  • Experience with data entry in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of tooling, tool room processes, and production workflows.
  • Familiarity with machine operating or machining environments.
  • Ability to read and work with blueprints or technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inspection and documentation.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tools, supplies, and materials efficiently.

  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe tool room and production environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peru, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
