Job summary

Loenbro, a trusted partner in construction lifecycle, is hiring a Tool Coordinator in Colorado. You will manage tools, inventory, calibration, and shop operations to support multiple job sites with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include maintaining the tool crib, coordinating purchases with the Regional Tool Manager, preparing job boxes, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and documentation. The role is physical and operates Monday–Friday in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High integrity to maintain accurate records and ensure safety.
• Strong time management to meet department needs.
• Proficiency with tool management, database software, Excel, or SAP for data entry and communication.
• Meticulous record keeping to prevent loss and ensure safety and quality.
• High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to inspect, measure, and evaluate tools for wear.
• Ability to repair tools and sharpen bits is a plus.
• Basic math skills.
• Work with Regional Tool Manager and assist other staff as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manage tool check-in/check-out with barcode systems to maintain accountability.
• Inspect returned tools for damage or safety hazards and remove defective equipment per OSHA.
• Coordinate tool transfers, deliveries, and returns to/from job sites.
• Ensure the tool crib/room is safe and compliant with EH&S requirements.
• Assist with purchases of tools and supplies with the Regional Tool Manager.
• Manage inventory and allocation of consumables and fixtures.
• Prepare job boxes for upcoming orders.
• Research quotes for expensive purchases needing approval.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and calibration of measuring tools.
• Coordinate outside service technicians for tool maintenance as needed.
• Keep tools clean and organized; maintain a proper storage system.
• Maintain records and provide reports on purchases, costs, and expenditures.
• Assist with calibration of basic measuring tools.
• Help keep the shop/warehouse clean and organized.
