Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Virginia is seeking a Tool & Die Technician to inspect dies, design from drawings, and set up CNC equipment for precision tooling used in display and refrigeration components.

The role requires 5+ years in a tool & die shop, a machinist certificate or equivalent, and proficiency with MasterCam, AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Night shifts and overtime may be required; commission-based pay is possible.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school (Machinist certificate) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Tool & Die machine shop experience.
• Blueprint reading and familiarity with MasterCam, AutoCAD and Solid Works.

Responsibilities

• Inspect dies for wear, cracks, or damage after production runs.
• Design dies from engineering drawings, sketches, or verbal direction.
• Set up and operate conventional or CNC equipment to shape parts to prescribed dimensions.
• Weld, measure, heat treat, and troubleshoot mechanical systems on dies and presses.
