Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. is seeking technicians for a 1st shift position in the Product Development Center. You will perform machining, fitting and assembly to construct prototype dies, molds, and tooling, using lathe, milling, drill press, surface grinder, and plunge EDM as required.

Applicants typically have 4–5 years in metalworking with sketches or drawings. The role emphasizes safety adherence, accuracy, and coordination with engineers to meet timelines.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 4-5 years or more of related work experience.
• Requires high school diploma.
• Completion of an AA degree or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate shop equipment (lathe, milling machine, drill press, surface grinder, plunge EDM) to make or repair parts.
• Machining, fitting and assembly operations to construct prototype dies, molds and tooling.
• Work with engineers to prove out concepts and produce sample products.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain documentation of work and materials.
