Job summary

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc. in Mason, OH is seeking an experienced Tool Maker specialized in Wire EDM to join our precision tooling team. You will set up, program and run Makino/Mitsubishi wire EDM machines, reading GD&T from engineering drawings and translating them into accurate CNC toolpaths.

You will design or modify fixtures and electrodes, inspect parts with CMMs, maintain tight tolerances, and support calibration of shop tooling. Competitive benefits and a stable shift are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of wire EDM experience with high-precision tooling.
• CAD/CAM programming in Esprit WEDM CAM; Solidworks/Siemens NX a plus.
• Interpret technical specifications and calculate tolerances.
• AS9100 and NADCAP accreditation.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follow Hi-Tek policies and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and program wire EDM machines (Makino or Mitsubishi).
• Read GD&T and engineering drawings to translate into CNC toolpaths.
• Create/modify fixtures, tooling and electrodes for EDM processes.
• Inspect workpieces using CMMs and gauging to tight tolerances.
• Calibrate and maintain machine shop tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, instruments.
• Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC/manual equipment in toolroom.
