Job summary

BTD, a fast-growing metalworking company, is seeking skilled die technicians to build basic new dies and repair most dies. You will fabricate dies, jigs, fixtures and machined parts with trainer guidance while maintaining strict safety standards.

Position involves reviewing blueprints, performing various machine setups, and coordinating with EDM operators. The role emphasizes timely completion, quality, and safe work practices in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Related tooling and shop experience preferred.
• Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and understand die designs.
• Operate machines with high productivity while maintaining tolerances.
• Perform die setup in grinding, milling and jig boring with trainer assistance.
• Assemble dies and check tool steel clearance and timing.
• Document all changes on die drawings for CAD updates.
