Job summary

Teksky LLC seeks an experienced Tool Maker / Tool & Die Maker to build, repair, modify, and inspect jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, and tooling for metal fabrication and machining operations.

You will read engineering drawings, program machine tools and EDM equipment, and collaborate with Engineering to resolve tooling issues. The role includes training operators and maintaining tool-room inventory.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in tool making, machining, or metal fabrication.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong blueprint reading and CAD skills.
• Experience with machine-tool and EDM programming required.
• Laser programming experience preferred.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments, tolerances, and machining practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, repair, fit, assemble, and align tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, and gauges.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, tool orders, and specifications.
• Inspect parts, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies for dimensions, fit, function, and quality.
• Perform bench and machine operations requiring precision tooling skills.
• Program and operate machine tools and EDM equipment.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve tooling and manufacturability issues.
• Assist with prototype development, assembly-line/workstation design, and material-handling equipment.
• Train operators on fixtures, inspection equipment, and procedures.
• Maintain tool-room inventory and assist with tooling/material purchasing.
